Ghost Photos?

I took this photo at the site of a house that burned down in the 1950's. Several children were killed in the fire. I haven't figured out the fogginess of the picture or what the strange orb shape or figures are for sure.

I took this photo at the House of the Seven Gables in Salem, MA.  I couldn't explain the strange green shape in the foreground.  A trick of the light?

I also took this photo at the House of the Seven Gables.  Are those faces in the second story window?
